EmailOps Framework™ Phase 2: CREATE
Transform your plan into production-ready email assets.
Overview
The Create phase is where strategy becomes reality. Using the approved campaign brief from the Plan phase, the team develops all of the content, creative assets, and technical components required to execute the campaign.
This phase is about more than writing an email or designing a template – it’s about producing high-quality, on-brand, accessible, and technically sound assets that are ready for quality assurance.
Successful email teams don’t “start from scratch” every time. They rely on standardized processes, reusable components, design systems, and documented best practices to create campaigns efficiently while maintaining consistency.
Purpose
The purpose of the Create phase is to transform an approved campaign plan into a complete set of production-ready email assets.
This includes developing compelling copy, designing responsive email layouts, preparing graphics, configuring personalization and dynamic content, and assembling the email within the chosen Email Service Provider (ESP).
The objective is to ensure that every asset is accurate, consistent, brand-compliant, and ready to move into the Review phase without requiring major revisions.
When this phase begins
The Create phase begins once the Plan phase has been completed and the campaign has been approved for production.
